Was driving to the dealer to have another problem fixed when my fuel gauge droppped to zero and the fuel light lit up. Pulled over, restarted the car and everything was fine. Kept driving. Happened again then corrected itself. When i got to the dealer they said that there is a problem going around with too much sulfur in the fuel. apparently some refineries arent putting enough cleaning agents in the gasoline and it is causing problems with the fuel sensors in fords. They cleansed the tank and told me to avoid cheapo gas stations like sheetz, told me to use BP whenever possible. Any others have this problem? Any ford service techs have any comments?

This is old dude. Put some Techron in it and move on. Use Chevron or something.

I had the same problem when I picked up my new GT in March. The dealer said the same thing, and put in some Techron, and I haven't had the problem since.

Wow, that happened to me once, too. Just once, and just as I realized I was at empty, it righted itself. Weird, because I only use chevron.

I have more problems with my Chebby than my Ford...
I also own a 2002 Chev Silverado Crewcab HD that uses ALOT of fuel and the sending unit is always fouled.
I "ran" out of Gas twice....Pissed me off.
