yesterday i wanted to clean my tips really good, so i tried to take off the tips and they wouldnt come off so i just removed the whole piping. then i was curious on how it sounded so i started her up and it sounded real good so i left them off, it really woke up the way the car sounded. The only thing i dont like is the way it looks from the back, it looks like something is missing.

How many other people have dumps or turndowns?

I have BBK longtubes, BBK x-pipe, and Flowmaster 40's with nothing after that. Sounds great. I will weld on some dumps before the summer though because I don't like the idea of hot exhaust gas getting trapped under the gas tank.

I was thinking about doing the same thing... taking off my tailpipes to polish them and see what my car sounded like without them on.

Same here mine are dumped also, i like the way tailpipes sound but it sounds way better without them in my opinion, and i disagree with the way it looks without them i think it looks alot cleaner.
