Well I took the cobra to the track last Friday to see how she would do. As i suspected, with the tires I was using and the IRS I couldn't get one good launch. The best time I squeezed off was a 7.91 with a 2.1 60ft trapping at 94mph. I literally had to start off at idle and ease into the throttle. I was happy overall though, I bought this car to DD...not to race. Maybe in a little while I'll build the IRS and buy some drag tires.

Damn, 1/8 miles are short! Seemed like a good run. What sticker do you have on the rear quarter glass?

Go to a road course instead of the drag strip. That's the kind of use your Cobra was designed for, not 1/8 or 1/4 mile runs.

Yeah, it was my brothers GoPro. That thing is awesome. The sticker on the window is a VMP tunning sticker. It's off now, the previous owner put it on. And no, I don't want to road course the car. Everyone thinks cobras have great handling because of the IRS. Common myth, I have pretty much full aftermarket suspension and it still doesn't handle very good simply because it's a mustang.

Dude, no lie. That caught me by surprise. I think that's why I ended up running like 15 times instead of twice like a originally planned.

Nice camera mount. Nice run too. I bet it is hard to launch that thing with minimal tire spin, but still, that run looked pretty dam good.

That car was a nightmare to launch. Especially with the 18's. Even on that run I still had a 2.1 60'. I don't have any pictures of the camera on the car but here is the setup I was using...Took 10 seconds to put on and is really reliable.
