I'm sure this has happened to alot of people. What have you guys done to fix it because it looks like crap. Mine has town almost all of the way up and is barely hanging on. Thanks

I thought I had found this piece for sale at 50resto.com, but I just gave it a quick check and couldn't come up with anything.

Maybe deeper searching will find it. Mine's starting to tear as well.

That's a great opportunity to install a leather boot (that rubber kinda gets ripped-out in order to get the boot installed).

Good luck.

One side of mine is missing.

JT ... where can we get the boot only?

EDIT: I just found 2 on LRS. One is for 98-00 ($14.95) and one is for 01-04 ($63.95). What's the difference & will both of these work?

I see the $63 leather boot, and it says for 01-04. Will that work with our cars as well?

Justin, unfortunately I dont know specifics. I used a generic boot on the vert (fox) and would do the same here (I was going to do it on the 94, but my rubber is mint).

Do you guys remember Patrick's boot? I think he used one for a Focus - ring any bells?

Ahh, yes. Thanks JT. I don't know about the Focus one, though. Here's the link to that thread ....

Nice find Justin!

FWIW, I just looked through his old threads - he put a Focus boot in his fox (I knew I didnt pull that out of my toosh, but I couldn't remember which boot was on what car).

By looking at the years you listed here, I am willing to bet the 01-04 is the dark grey color, not black like the 98-00.
