torque box. lower control arm

i cracked mine, noticed it last night. so today i welded it back together, will this work fine, or have i fuxored the rear suspension some? the crack was on the bottom, about 2 and a half inches long, with about a 1/16 inch gap at the largest place.

It should be fine. As long as the mounting holes haven't moved that's all that matters. Think about a reinforcing kit such as Wild Rides or similar. Rick91GT sells custom kits cheaper I think.

if it broke once it will probably break again til you fix the problem all together by reinforcing it. mine continued to break til i welded on plates and pretty much an entire box around the lower torque box. i have no experience with sild rides but from what others say i would suggest them and i will be buying battle boxes for my next mustang.
