Well, me and my buddy were scoping out his car cause he was getting a slight thump after letting off the throttle. It only started after we threw a different rear end in. We put his old one back in....

Would cracked torque boxes be the factor in this?...

It didn't do it before we put the new rear end in, or after. It started when we threw the old one back in. He has south side LCA's and they also have brackets that were drilled to the LCA axle mounts

Southsides are hell on torque boxes in general. Did you leave a wrench on the upper control arm bolts? Did you check the new rear end before it was installed? If so where is the backlash at?

rule of thumb in general mechaincs you learn if you touch something and after it made a noise that it didnt re trace your steps back ward and figure out why
