I drove over to sussex today because some guy wanted to take a look at my car and make me an offer. so i went to his 'shop' behind the A&P. He didnt mention to me that it was a mustang resto shop! It was awesome so after i talked to the gy for awhile, he showed me inside the garage. I took a swan dive into the pool of parts and pre-71 mustang bodies. It was fun. So he was showing me his welding projects and talking about my frame and stuff. To my suprise he told me that my frame was in great shape and i had a pretty darn sturdy car. I was like oh sweet. So then he told me i had rust on my torque boxes so i asked him what they were and stuff. Not only did he show me them but he showed me how to build and weld them and then how to mount them on the car! It was so cool, i had always heard people talk about them but now i know what they are!

Torque boxes might be fun in theory, but they are a royal pain in the neck when you get down to replacing them.

If someone is giving you the op to work in a resto shop jump on it. You can never learn enough.
