Any body know what the torque specs are on the Trick Flow Rocker arms for the Twisted Wedge Heads? I'm putting the Engine back together after installing the Cam!

well u got to set the valve lash and all that. 1/2 turn past 0 lash (that is the point of little pushrod resistance) (but first u got to have the compression or depression stroke correct for that spring) then thats where the nut stays at.

You don't torque the rocker studs. You have to set the lifter pre-load when the cylinder is at TDC. Do a search on "adjusting rockers" and you will find tons of threads about this. There is another trick that allows you to set one cyl to TDC and adjust 8 of the 16 valves, then set another cylinder to TDC and adjust the other 8 valves.

Rocker Arm Studs are torqued to 60 ft. lbs.

Adjusting valve lash - go to www.flowtechinduction.com and hit up the Tech section to see how to adjust the valves.

Here's a little how-to I wrote after doing the install on some Trickflow roller rockers on the TF kit...

3/8" Rocker arm studs get torqued to 55 ft/lbs as recommended by trickflow. Use some sort of lube on the threads- oil, anti seize or loctite.

Blue loc-tite on aluminum.

Use oil for engine parts. Much cleaner.

AFR recommends 60 ft. lbs. That is where I got my info. I doubt you will notice a difference.

Afr uses different studs than TFS. TFS uses arp studs (stronger). Oil can be used for thread lube. TFS states in their cylinder head instructions it can be used for upper head bolts, fyi

Oh, I know you can 'use it', but I wouldn't. It isn't going to hurt it. But engine oil is meant for the inside of engines in my opinion.

I have ARP rocker studs on my AFR's.
