Will this Stall converter work on our cars?
Any opinions on or reviews from people who purchased same converter?

The picture is a stock sized stall. The maximum stall you can get out of a stock setup is 2,800 and that's pushing it on our mustangs. Most can only get to 2,600 and that's all they'll guarantee - so you would be looking at it stalling 2300-2500. Which isn't great.

Click the "more" buttons to learn a little about the different styles.

I have the Street Edge and love it. I started with a 3,000 then moved up to a 3,200 on a restall for the new combo.

Edge offers a 9.5 inch converter, what other sizes will fit our AODE's?

Also ACC's boss hog street bandit has a stall of 3,000 to 3,200 with a 12 inch converter for $345, im basically just looking at the options right now.

During my research and I did a lot in the past. Not a single reputable company sold a 3,000+ stall setting for a stock size 12" converter. The reason is, when they take the fins in the converter and push them that far, there is a higher failure rate and higher temps built up internally. This is why the good companies use a smaller diameter converter to help gain a higher stall rate.

RR...I am in agreement with Paul on this one......I also have the 9.5 Edge stall......I bought this one AFTER purchasing one just like your looking at in the same price range.......

If I beg you refrain from going cheap on this part, I will save you the extra dropping of the trans for a second time just to correct a mistake......I have been there and done that with this part trying to save some cash....was not worth it at all except for the learning of "you get what you pay for." There are some others around...I think some senior guys on here have mentioned convertor concepts..maybe Mike. I can vouch the the Egde.....one of the best mods I've made...
good luck
Will

Correction, the ACC boss hog has an 11" inch design. Is it still unlikelly for them to reach a stall speed of 3,000 rpm's ?
part # 26513 ACC boss hog.

ATS (Alpine trans supply) sells a 9" inch design for around $350. Everything is tig welded. I can't find their site.

like I said, just looking at other options.
