I am looking at putting tt2 on my 66 coupe. I was going to get 17x8 with 4.75 backspacing, when talking to mustangs plus this is what they suggested with a 235/45/17 tire. I was looking at cjs pony parts and found the rims cheaper and free shipping, however when I called them they told me these would not fit my car without major problems. I did notice that mustangs plus sells them with 8mm offset and cjs sells with a 6mm offset. I didn't think this would make a big differance , but maybe this is why cjs say they won't fit. I have one company telling me they will work and one telling me they won't. Who do I belive?

size of wheels don't really matter on a mustang, it's the backspace(offset) if the m+ is 4.75 and the cjpp is a different offset, it's also a different backspace. if the opportunity presents itself try on a few rims at a friend's shop or whatever.

I want a wider set of wheels on the rear and these are 7 inch all the way around.
Thinking of going with a set of Billet Specialties on it.
