Help please.I was driving down the road in my 93 gt AOD and the first thing to happen was my cd player had completely shut off.In the time it took for me to ask myself what just happened to my radio, everything in the car including the motor shut down. After about 3 seconds of coasting everything come back on and the engine refired without me touching anything. All the gauges were reading normal before and after, and the check engine light wasnt on.Hoping someone can give me an idea before it does it again and never comes back on and i am stranded.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you sure everything in the car went dead? otherwise, it sounds ignition or ignition switch related. often folks lose the radio, turn signals (and something else i cant remember). the switch was a recall item - might check and see if yours was done.
good luck.

Do this, go up to the starter relay up in the engine bay and locate the little silver ciruict breaker on one of the wires coming off the bundle. It'll be a silver box right near the relay itself with two small terminals inline with one of the wires.

Start the car then walk up and tap, whack, hit and shake this module. If the car cuts out then this is your problem. Mine did the same and it was this breaker. I cut out the breaker and had massive system surge a little later that took out my ignition so I recommen replacing it rather than removing it.

Mine did that, it was the electrical portion of the ignition switch. After I replaced it, no more problems.
