Update

For you of those thast are scared of this type of stuff probably are not understanding that for approx. 7,000 - 7,500 bucks this car WILL be the same (if not , better) This car has 36,000 mile and booksfor 19,000 or so bucks. This frame machine is the best money can buy and the guy who owns this car Knows how to use it.

doesn't matter what it books for, isn't it always going to have a salvage title?

I think it's cool that it can be fixed, but IMO I'd have bought the mach for 1k, bought a v6 or high mileage GT for around 3k, swapped everything that was re-usable and been under the budget... sure it wouldn't be a numbers matching car, but...

Actually, it won't have a salvage title. The Person bought it out of state and it did transfer.

my car was wrecked, has an entire new front end, but its as good if not better than new, there was no frame straightening at all...everythings new from ford. good title, we didnt turn it in.

No offense but to me it looks like a POS that you are wasting time and money on. I'd walk away from that wreck. Far too much damage. Sell the parts that are good for salvage.

Believe it or not but I have seen worse fixed. One Mustang my buddy repaired at his bodyshop was so destroyed he used half another car and welded them together. It's what you can make of it. I still think he is doing an awesome job. If I could have a Mach for 8000 repaired I wold take it all day. It's all in the workmanship though and this guy knows what he is doing!

EXACTLY! if a great tech that is experienced in quality work performs the repair, there is nothing to worry about. the problem is that most people hack it together, or dont know any better. it is those few hacks/unexperienced people that give situations like this a bad name.

I agree. If you know what your doing, then you can build it bigger and better, and in most cases nicer. You can get rid of a lot a seams on the body lines and engine bay and smooth things up a lot.

Looks great. Great buy for a mach with 8k in it!

If it was repaired so that it was very strong & not able to see any signs of a crash, I could learn to live with it for 8K.

See...there is an error with that logic. Sure, driveability wise it might be fine and dandy, straight as an arrow, etc. BUT the metals structural integrity has been compromised. Metal that has been bent is weaker than original, and always will be no matter how "straight" you get it again. Unless you put on a whole new frame, the frame is going to be weaker than it was originally.

But from the pictures, it looks like he changed the floor pans and a lot of the frame sections that were damaged. If the frame sections were changed and if brand new frame sections were welded on to the existing frame that was NOT damaged, everything shoudl be okay. At the factory, the Mustang fames were welded section by section. The body repairman is not doing anything different from what was done at the factory with the way that he's repairing the damaged frame sections.
The only other things that I would be concerned about with this particular Mustang is if anything mechanical "shifted" or "moved" inside the engine or inside the transmission. A lot of small gears and mechanical components that are inside the engine and transmission can move out of place with an impact collision like this particular vehicle had.
