Yeah i was thinking if they did some support welding or something it'd help but then I begin to wonder why they'd spend so much time and $$ on a car when they could have a non-damaged one for less. Some people like that kind of stuff though I guess so more power to them!

Everything turned out nice. I did the alignment on it an was surprised to see that it was a basic toe and go. The left front wheel was off by -0.14 and thrust angle was right on. Know we need to wait on the door panel from Ford. I know alot of people won't do this, but this is really a great repair job by a professional and will serve as a great automobile. Just thought it would be cool to share the progress with fellow Mustang owners, not to debate.

Well he took a ride in my 01 procharged GT and is really seriuos about supercharging now.

Thats a really good repair! I'm really impressed! What do you use for corrosion protection before and after welding? My shop we coat with a basic epoxy primer and 3m seam seal.

came out perfect or better. kind of like mine only yours was worse because you had to straighten the frame. Nice!

the guys that are scared of this havent seen a real craftsman do this work before. look at your trunk gaps on your car from the factory. they are HORRIBLE! and like stated before the frames of our cars are not one pice to begin with, so welding in new sections isnt a major deal. Looks like this guy is a tradesman and has done an amazing job.

I say cudos and enjoy. If he decides to sell it later on PM me lol

I'll give him 8k for it

Some of you guys in this thread are acting like they carve these cars out of billet steel from the factory. LOL ford does some crappy welds in critical areas on these cars ( the tourqe boxes come to mind).. a good body man with the right tools that is willing to spend the time and NOT cut corners can make cars 10 times worse then that perfect.

I knew a body shop owner that only drove former wrecks he fixed himself, even his kids got former wrecks for cars.. The ones he did you could not tell when he was done.
