Totaled H/C/I 95 GT = 2000 GT

Yeah I broke my 95 to the tune of $7000 (well a telephone pole broke it) so I sold the motor and now I have a 2000 GT.

The car came with:
3 chamber Flowmaster catt back (will be doing pro-chamber w/ 2chambers)
4:10's
Steeda timing adjuster
Steeda Sport springs
Tokico shocks
CAI
Underdrive pullies
Cobra Rims (rear 10.5 in w/285's and front 9 in w/ 275's)
Pro 5.0 shifter
Diablo flash tuned

I am going to get it dynoed soon, but how much power are you guys seeing out of these cars with basic bolt ons? (70,000 miles) What was the stock rating? 250-260?

I am trying to figure out where I stand in comparison to my H/C/I 95 (285 rwhp and 324 rwtq). Eventually (soon) all the basic bolt-ons will be done, what can I expect then? (T-body, plenum, injectors, C+l maf kit, SCT dyno tune, headers, off-road pro-chamber)
Thanks

Factory rating was 260 at the crank and about 2225-230 at the wheels with a 5-speed. Last time mine was dynoed it made 268 at the wheels with a torque figure of about 313 ft-lbs. You can see the mods in my sig.

Car is going into storage today and the shop it's being stored at will be putting my Comp 262AH cams & springs in over the winter (finally...) Hopefully that'll give a bit more HP at the top.

With all your mods you should be pretty close to the 95 I'd think. (I don't think you'll need injectors FWIW...) Your 95 was probably lighter than the 00 so it may not immediately feel like it...

Might want to think about adding cams to your budget if you can. Installed right they're a great upgrade.

260 hp is the rating at the crank, not the wheels. You'll be lucky to see 245 rwhp with only a flash, intake, catback and timing adjuster. You may be able to bump that to the 260-270rwhp range with an o/r mid pipe, plenum/TB & underdrive pulley's.

Man, I couldn't agree more. These 4.6 modulars absolutely LOVE CAMS. I dunno why more people don't make it an absolute necessity. Since installing my, keep in mind, "mild" cams, the top end....uhg, just wants to rip the tires off the rims, love it. Great, cheap, upgrade, especially if ur gonna be in there anyways. Cheap is imho, considering how aggressively it changes the behavior of the engine. These are the kinds of things that "must" be done to even think of competing with a very well tuned newer import ( i.e. STI/EVO ) .

Thanks for the info guys. Cams are going to happen but after all the bolt ons. Wow it does not seem to hard to hit the 300 rwhp mark with these motors. My H/C/I 95 was at 285rwhp and 324rwtq with not to many more options other than porting, NOS or supercharger/turbo. It is a real challange and a big goal to hit 300 with bolt-ons.
