Toyo tires, any opinions?

The mustang and the van both need new sets of tires, pretty bad. Turns out I can get a really good deal on some toyo tires, but Ive never used em before and do not know anyone that has. Any opinions on the quality, price, any info at all? Possibly best toyo tire for all weather (for van) and sporty (with a hint of all weather, ohio winters, you know) for the mustang? Any info will help guys. Thanks alot!!!!

i had some on my last stang, i hydroplayed in the rain and hit a curb busted 2 wheels and tires, then i put some goodyears back on.

I just installed some T1-s Proxes...SWEET looking tire, I will let you know how they work in the spring...Summer only tire....

Had some on a Taurus. Hydroplaned and did 4 360's in the middle of trafic.

I had Toyo Proxes on my old wheels and they were 2X better than the stocks and were pretty good in the rain... no hydroplaning or anything... i could drive at 60mph in the rain... stop and drive awesome...

I had a pair on my Thunderbird, I didn't like them because no one could ever get them to balance properly

How much of deal are you getting? BFG KDW are only $150 and they are some nice tires. The top of the line Toyos look just like my Yokohama AVS Sport which look just like the new Goodyear GS.

I used to have toyo on my last car and they where just great and no hydroplanning even going 80mph in the rain without problem and i used to take curves at highspeed and they would stick real good, but then again i was on a FWD car so no idea how it would do on a stang. myself im looking forward for some Yokohama's ES100

I have them. I paid like $140 per tire but it was all free for me due to a legal settlement. They are expensive, but I really have to say that I like them alot. I've had my Proxes FZ4's (the all-weather radials) on for 10K miles so far and no real wear to speak of at this point. They are Z-rated BTW. Excellent grip and handling IMO! - I noticed it right away when I got them put on and they still feel like that, but they've got mediocre grip in moderate to heavy rain (could be due to the Stang though). If I were to ever get a new set of tires, I'd definitely spring for the Toyo Proxes TS-1's. They are comparable to the Nitto 555RII's and they look really friggin' cool as well. Hope this helps!

I have Toyo Proxes 4's on all corners, and I love them. I paid $109 a tire, and they are well worth it. I went from the stock Gatorbacks, and as we all know even cement blocks would be a better replacement. These Proxes 4's have a 300 Treadwear Rating, a "AA" Traction Rating and a "A" Temperature Rating. They also handle good in wet and snowy weather. The dry traction is a huge improvement over the Goodyears, but it still isn't hard to roast em when I step on the fun pedal!

I had some proxies on my eclipse before my Mustang... I never drove it hard, or could loose any traction (ie, slow motor, heavy car). Nice tire though.

i can get toyos for 50% off through a friend of mine. thats a good deal i think since i paid 500 bucks for my last set of tires...omg i forget what kind they were, Ill check when i get outta class. I figure at 50 % off why go anywhere else, you know? Its getting to the point that I need em kinda bad, and money is kinda tight at the moment. But as all of us married/ students know, when is money not tight, right?

Falcans, those are them. Those were the tires I got for 500 bucks. I would think toyos would be better than the falcans. Well, is it still up in the air on the toyos>?

I have Toyo T-1S on my car and I love them. I live in Florida so wet weather traction is a major concern. My Toyos have never broken loose as they grip extremely well.

Can he get good deals for me?

Same here. I have 18" 275's and 295's on mine. They work well and Ive been happy with them. I have about 8k on them and I haven't had a problem; however it doesn't get driven in the rain.
