Toyota on the pole at Talladega!!!!!

WOW! I knew they really needed something to bolster the program... since this is an impound race the Toyota teams used a qualifying setup on their cars instead of a race setup like everyone else. This gives them the poll, but at the start of the race today they'll be sucking hind tit quick.

U.M.

Jeff Gordon qualified so poorly he had to resort to owner points to get in. :rlaugh:

crazy qual's, that's for sure. Look at the nobody's in the top 11 :D

j/k

Waltrip will not even lead the first lap. Stewie will get pissed off at Hamlin and they'll get together for the big one and take out 7 of the chasers

Jr will lead a ****load of laps and the drunks will go wild

in the end, Gordon will find some way to win the race, and the Alabama race fans will once again embarrass the NASCAR community (well, not as much as the France family has already) :D

looks to be a good race! I just hope Jimmie stays out of the wrecks. I'm leaving work early so I won't miss any of it

You know what, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jr won this race. What a fitting way for him and Jr to leave DEI :nice:

Id LMAO as long as they take out Gordon as well

Jr will lead a ****load of laps and the drunks will go wild

And blow a motor in the last 20 laps

in the end, Gordon will find some way to win the race, and the Alabama race fans will once again embarrass the NASCAR community (well, not as much as the France family has already) :D

tis a sad reality.

Would be the perfect ending but as always with JR and DEI the expectations will be high and the end results dissipointing

Sort of unrelated....and forgive my lack of knowledge, as I don't follow this sport as much as I'd like, but why would DE Jr leave DEI, a company started by his late old man? I must have missed the headline somewhere, as this is likely old news in your guys' scope of interest.

The old man left control to the Wicked step mother.

Theressa owns more of the company then JR does, JR wanted more owner ship then he had thus being able to call more shots then Theresa does currently. They did not see eye to eye on this issue and JR was not happy b/c of it so decided to leave. Thats a small summary of what happened.

I see. Thank you.

What's really scary Tim... in case you haven't heard... Jr. moves to the Hendrick Motorsports team next year. That means his teammates will be Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, & Jimmie Johnson. Talk about an all-star team. Hendrick must have very deep pockets.

good race for the first 30 or so laps, then they went single wide (get it, reference to mobile homes... alabama... nascar :D:D) and I fell asleep.

I must admit, I'm really impressed with Mikey and the yota's today. Not enough credit is given to Vickers. He has been doing better then any other yota driver, yet all you hear about is Waltrip and his suck as teams (well, Reutiman isn't bad). It's like NASCAR pays the announcers to only mention MWR cars and not the Red Bull cars

and as for Sr leaving DEI to the "wicked stepmother", Sr AND Teresa built the company, not Sr, Jr and Teresa. It's rightfully hers. Sr never intended for Jr to have any sort of ownership in the company**, but only for it to be used as a gateway to a Chapmionship. Jr realized that he would never win it with DEI and went to a team that has produced many Champions. Smart move on his part.

so, now that Jr blew an engine, then Dale Jr blew an engine... you think Teresa did it just blew Truex's engine first to get people off her back about her sabotaging Dale Jr's cars :D

** funny how people say other drivers have their way paved into the series, but no one mentions that Dale Sr built a company for his kids to have a way into the Cup Series  ;)
