Hey i know this is probably a stupid little newby question but please, enlighten me...What type of symptoms are typical of a bad Throttle Positioning Sensor?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm well i know when i replaced my T.B and didnt have the TPS set right it would idel at like 3,000 after driving it! So i would assume that if it's not working then you would idol weird if not high then to low? But i'm not 100% on this. I can go look today cause in the new direction's it tell's you to check the voltage between 2 wire's on the TPS to get it set right so you might be able to tell that way as well? All you need to do this is a volt meter and i'm preaty shure that a $10.00 one from anywhere will work? If you have one i think they want it set at .095? but let me check for shure and wich one's to check voltage between. peace
Yeah, just check your TPS voltage at closed throttle and WOT. Just turn the key to acc, backprobe the wires. Should be somewhere around closed = .90-1.1. WOT = ~4.66
