I believe he responded to that suggestion (removing the tps to check for change), no change.
At that point he should have checked resistance like jrichker posted in his test procedure. I guess he was focused on the tps sensor

Does the fact that pin 46 in Burnt affect this at all ?
And why would it burn up ?
For some reason my computer is for an automatic but I have at 351w Manuel transmission

Pin 46 appears to be the signal return (ground) for several sensors and the diagnostic port.

Why would it fired ?
I was reading that it might be because of an auto computer on my 5-speed motor something about 02 sensor harness ? Any ideas

Yeah, there is something about the 02's and the difference between computers, there is a jumper involved, hang a minute, see if I can find it.

Yes. Match your 02 pins to the link to see if it is the same for the trans you have.
Here is how to repin https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/o2-harness-repin.908182/

Yes, the auto harness puts 12v on the sgn grd pin during cranking if you use a manual trans ecu..

The tps sensor is a very basic potentiometer

I would still repin the harness anyway. 12v on the sgn gnd circuit is bad ju ju

I would get that computer repaired. I see them on ebay for 300-500 dollar range used.

1986 harness won't have the jumper to repin. The 1986 and 1987 cars are wired differently.

However, if the car's history is unknown, it's possible the wiring harnesses were changed.

Step #1. Look for the o2 harness plug near where the MAF would normally sit on a mass air car. Is it a 5-wire plug or a 7 wire plug with a jumper.

And yes, burning up trace 46 can cause some of the issues you are seeing. They can be repaired by soldering a jumper. Best way to check is to unplug the ECU, put a probe to pin 46 and check for voltage while cranking and on key on. Should be none

Come to think of it, I never asked what year it is
the pin placement link does not show the 86-7 years.
i guess I should have asked more questions.
