No, t-5 and t-45 are totally different. Only part that interchanges is the shifter. Everything else is different

ohh. i didnt know that. that changes a lot, ha. dont they have the same size clutch too?

Well yes, both use the same spline input shafts so they can use the same clutch.

Thanks to everyone's input. Mustang5L5, you nailed it.

The BEST way to find out what tranny it is, it's by mesuring the stock shifter:
3650 = 1.2" from base to pivot ball
T-5/T-45 = 1.5" from base to pivot ball

I got a T45.

It is funny however, that I've been driving my car for 2 weeks now, using a TR3650 shifter on it. It only popped out of the hole once.
