This evening I talked with Brian from SAACNW and got some more information about the July 11th track day, basically clarification on a couple of questions and some discussion about run group size.
1. "Radiator catch can" means overflow tank on a modern car. Nothing special required, the wording on the rules is because older Mustangs didn't have overflows.
2. Gloves can basically be pretty much anything, provided that it is non-synthetic. Leather preferred. Nomex a good idea too.
3. There are going to be about 25 people in the third run group. Brian says he normally likes to keep run groups at 20 or less, so he is considering what to do to make run groups 3 & 4 smaller, perhaps adding another run group and re-grouping things.
It sounds like they definitely did not expect this many people to sign up, but that it is very hit or miss -- sometimes a lot of people show, sometimes nobody does. They lost a good chunk of money last year, so they're only putting together two track days this year.
I'm a little bit concerned about having a run group of 20+ cars, hopefully that'll turn out to be a non-issue. Brian did mention the possibility of upgrading to group 2 if I have a problem with slow cars getting in the way, but I really don't anticipate doing that. I just don't plan to push the car hard enough to be -that- fast. Especially with a 100% street setup
