It felt great to return to the track. I was actually nervous when I was on the lanes.
I only got to run two times out of the whole night.

Mods list: (automatic transmission. ran both times on D.)
JLT CAI w/ Breenspeed tunes
Steeda pullies
FRPP axleback exhaust
NITTO drag radials (245/45/17's on factory wheels)

The first run I did not get to set up at the lights correctly and the tree started before I could even stall the car. I completely messed up that run and I was pissed with the results:mad:. I stalled too high and the wheels spun, so I let go of the gas and by then it was green.

(93octane Performance tune)
60ft. - 2.205
1/8m- 8.980 @ 81.369
1/4m- 13.774 @ 102.329

Second run was a lot better. I did a good burn out and I got the tree first. That gave me time to set up right. Stalled it at 1500rpm. The car launched and felt great. Chirped 1-2, chirped 2-3rd.

(93 RACE tune)
60ft. - 2.033
1/8m- 8.651 @ 82.892
1/4m- 13.376 @ 103.679

:flag:
I did NOT do any weight reduction. I didn't remove the spare with jack or anything like that. Ran with 1/4 tank.

EDIT: Here are the results and mods from my 2001 mustang that I sold years ago.

2001 True Blue Mustang GT 4R70W
Steeda Timing Adjuster @15
Steeda Pullies
MAC CAI
MAC Longtubes
Magnaflow o/r X-pipe Magnaflow Mufflers welded
Weld Draglites - 15x3.5 front & 15x8 w/ BFG DR's.
---------------------------
60ft. - 1.94
1/8 - 8.55 @ 81.83
1/4 - 13.37 @101.96

Wow. I really need to go with some shorter tires. My 28" tires are killing me with the 3.31's. They're hurting me on the '05 with 4.10's, too. After looking at other people's numbers, it's apparent that you need a blower to run 28" tires.

Man, it's going to be a PITA to try to unload these.

Your second run wasn't bad considering the temps you were dealing with at the track. When you stalled your car to 1500 RPM, were you using the parking brake to help hold it? I know with street radials, I can't go over 1000 RPM without the car pushing forward or spinning, but with the parking brake I was able to hold it still close to 2000 RPM.

I can see how the 28"s don't mix well with N/A and 3.31s, but why are they killing your '05 with 4.10s:shrug::shrug: Last time out with my 28.3" Nittos, I was able to nearly duplicate(within .029 secs)my E.T. with the 27" OEM BFGs and I picked up 1.38 MPH. Other than the tires, the only thing different in my car were the lowering springs from the other run.

I used the foot brake, didn't even touch the handbrake. Actually I have never used it at the track.

edit: wouldn't that problem be because of the 410s?

I really want to break into the 12's.

I'm not sure. I'm not personally driving the car, so I can't say that the launch or shifts are being done correctly, but 13.32 is the best run with it so far, and 1.9 (maybe 1.8, don't quite remember) is the best 60'. Just doesn't seem right.

It could be one of two things. They just repaved at Cordova first of all. Traction should be getting better now but it still isn't what you would call "Ideal" . Secondly, it doesn't look like they are launching at high enough RPM. You should be running low 1.8's and mid-high 1.7's all day, even on a ****ty track with 4.10's.

Ps. If you do deside to get rid of your DR's let me know! :)

Traction is not an issue at all. There's no spinning. I'll have to take the '05 down the track to see what's going on.

As far as the '05, I'm definitely getting rid of the M&H's. They're great tires, just way too tall for 3.31's. You have a PM.
