Track Tomorrow (Videos)

Well the mustang is finally ready for the track. Its so great that I'm actually getting to finally run the car after the past fews of building. There are tons of things that still need to be done (Direct Port Nitrous Fogger kit and Mickey Thompson 10.5W - both sitting in the garage) but at least its on the road...

If the weather holds up i plan on going down to Orlando Speed World and mainly get it all tuned in. I know there is a lot of kinks that needs to be worked out, we have been messing around with the jetting of the carburetor and making small timing adjustments so far.

Well does anyone wanna throw some times that they think i will put down. Ill list all the specs of the setup at the end of the thread. Now remember iv hardly ever raced before except for my 13 second GTO like 2 times. I want to get into the 11's for now, and low 10's with the fogger.

Setup:

408w Stroker
All Forged Internals
Compression 10.5:1
AFR 205cc Heads
Vic Jr Intake
Quickfuel 750 Carb
Race Built C6 Tranny
3.73 Gears
Full Rear Coilover Suspension
(Strange 10ways and QA1 150# springs)
Full Tubular Front K-Member & A-Arms w/ Coilovers
275/40/17 Mickey Thompson ET Streets

Wish Me Luck...

I believe i can, the only problem is traction. At any given speed or gear I can stomp it and it will blister the tires of the car. Thats gonna be my main issue for tomorrow. The track got rained on tonight, so i don't know how much rubber will be on it, hope they prep good.

I am envious that your track is open tomorrow! Here in Indiana we have 2 more months until ours open. Good luck though.

No nitrous yet, the fogger kit is still sitting in my room. You ran a 12.3 on what kinda of tires? I thought we had about the same setup, and i hope i run in the 11's. Also what were your 60 ft times?

That was with some worn out ET streets that I picked up for $50 because there was nothing left of them.

I only got a 1.9 60' that run, plus like I said, missed 4th, and the density altitude was around 6000'.

Well, good luck! hopefully you go faster than me

Have you had the car on the dyno yet?

And what size are the tires you are using? I was using 275/60/15's on a set of turbines.

...Never mind, I just saw you had the size in the first post.
