Ok guys I'm in a little dilema right now. My motor is a rebuilt 306 with forged pistons, twisted wedge heads, anderson b-31 cam, 75mm accufab, 80mm mass air and a novi 1000 with supporting fuel mods. My car is full street, maybe track twice a year. Which intake would be better for me, the track heat or r serie? I plan on pushing around 10-12lbs of boost and it needs to be torquey.

Track heat is best for you with that combo. Have you considered a holley?

Ya I considered the holley. I kinda wanna keep it a one brand thing. Would the r series take away power from down low?

Yes. With out changing the camshaft to work better with the R, the track heat will make more down low.

I understand wanting to keep it a one brand thing. I feel a holley is your best bet. If not, use the track heat. As with most AFM cams, it seems the bigger the parts you use, the more they make up top and the longer the powerband becomes, but it will hurt you down low.

Ok then track heat it is. Have you ever experienced the b-31? If so do you like it?

No i've never used it. I have no reason to believe it won't make power though. What you have planned sounds like a fast little combo. You add boost to any good combo and its gonna run hard.

Just remember to do your fuel mods right. 42lb injectors minimum, 255 high pressure pump, i'd also recommend a good tuning device and a wideband to street tune it yourself.

You may need to upgrade your valve springs.

If the chip tuner is good, sounds like a plan. If he's not, I highly suggest self tuning on the street with a wideband and a good tuner like a pms or a tweecer.

I have comp doubles which are good to a .620 lift. The tuner I thinking about either Larocca's or where joe went, JD's.
