Hey all, Today I bought a pair of Universal Lakewood traction bars, problem is, they don't fit a II because of the shock mounts. Does anyone know what kind of traction bars fit the II? Name and part numbers? thanks! Norm

There's a fellow in Illinois called "Stumpy" who makes a custom set for II's. He puts them on ebay every now and then and I think if you check the .net forums, he posts there too. I just ordered a set and I'll let everyone know how they work out.

I had modified the shock plate for my lakewoods 15 + years ago and they do fine except the outer shock bolt support broke off on one side still works though.

Here is the million dollar question are stumpy's true traction bars equal to or better than SSM bars which don't have snubbers on them???????????

ps didn't stupy have a set that had no snubbers also?

Since I've never owned the SSM bars I won't say Stumpy's are better. But if you check the threads at .net they are at least equal to the SSMs. And no I have never seen a set from Stumpy that didn't have snubbers.
