TRACTION HELP

IMHO I think any control arm that is tubular will do the trick. The whole concept of replacing the stock stamped CA's is to elimate flex. Most tubulars you buy will eliminate this. The only advice i can give you is go for the ones with the grease fittings. I didn't go polyurethane because i didn't want the noise and binding. The ones i bought off ebay are the same ones you get in Jegs. I payed $183.00 shipped to my door. They have regular rubber bushings. Hope this helps.
By the way...with that suspension set up and good tires you should have a great recipe for low 60' s.

It's the UCA's that have issues with bind and solid bushings. Rubber all around will do though. The traction/lift bars mount differently to change the angle (instant center) of the car and pushes down when you hit the gas to help plant the tires.

With a mini spool I'd be dang careful about making the rear suspension too tight. I suspect you'll rip the torque boxes apart with a hard poly bushing if you haven't already.

Also, all control arms are not created equally. Avoid the MAC's (very bad installs, twice). The SSM's are great for drag cars, but are miserable on the street (creaking and growning over every bump in the road) I have the Steeda aluminum lowers with the three peice bushing and they seem to work pretty well and are very light. The bushings are soft enough for curvy bumpy driving, and took away all thje wheel hop issues I had with the stockers.

Another option, depending on your budget, is eliminate the UCA's altogether and go with a torque arm, panhard bar setup. Maximum Motorsports has some excellent pieces that I hope to someday have.

Very very noticable over stock, I was impressed. The ride seems to stiffen up a bit but actually inst bad at all.

These are a drag item and I wouldn't recommend for a lot of handing.

Im looking at the maximum motorsports ones, none addjustable for 249.00. Ive heard nothing but good stuff about those ones. Also the steeda ones too. They both have the sperical end and the poly end too. Im looking at uppers too. Dont or try not to go for cheap ones. I did a search and it seems as if you get what you pay for.

Jamie, what problems did you have with the mac's? Curious because they have been in my car for 3 years now with no problems The only time I've been at the track with any type of tire was this year, two runs with my 275/50 bfg dr's. With a launch under 3k the cut a 1.685 short time. I thought to be good for only two runs ever on anything other than true street tires and my second run ever on the new combo.

I agree with that yes and no, in most cases you are right, but...

My UMI Peformance items are excellent and there prices are good too. They have a life time warranty and are replaced if they ever fell (which I dont ever see happening), I dont see anything wrong with that..
