Traction Lok

Would anyone mind explaining what traction lok is and what it does for my car. I havent owned it long and am learning a little at a time. I would like to upgrade to 3:73 gears but cant afford as of yet. I know this car has the factory 3:08 gears with traction lok. Sometimes in a burnout the car leaves one blackmark and sometimes two. The trac loc distributes power to both tires. If your car is leaving one tire trails once and a while then you need to rebuild it. For better info head over to the 5.0 forum their is more traffic in there.

A worn out traction-loc will do that, I didn't relize mine was so bad until I rebuilt it. Do a search, I have posted a lot about it.

Hell, I guess I got lucky, I have over 110k miles and mine still locks just fine, and I didn't rebuild it last winter when I did a gear swap.
