Any of yall go? I just came back from one, and I am back into that stage of wanting a Powerstroke. The Danger Ranger ran last night, 218 feet. Just a little ranger sitting on 31's and a huge smoke stack for a tail pipe.

Then my favorite was the 3 motored tractor. Each motor was a 600+ cube monster. Each motor was pushing somewhere near 800 horses, and one blew at half pull, but he shut that motor down, and finished up on 2/3 of his power!

HP isn't everything. Our Ford tractor can't have over 60 HP, but we can pull up to 8 tons of lead with it.

it's about traction and gearing more than horsepower

Indeed. That how a V6 ranger pulled 218.

I don't really care if it is rednecks, its fun to watch.

Yeah you want a powerstroke, until the warranty is up and it breaks down or needs injectors.

cummins is the only way to go. extreme 4x4 showed a dodge dually with a zoomy out the hood, twin turbo and big ditch witch tires all the way around and it pulled 350 feet or somewhere around that. but it had 1300 hp and 1800 ft. lbs. tq.

Ford out tows the competition with less rated power in every test. Im not a big fan of the 6.0 but the 7.3 was a damn good engine, and I have heard rumors of a 6.6 twin turbo in the near future.

i drive a 95 dually with the 5.9 with 200,000 and have never had any cracking. i also hear that the ford owning cummins is a rumor but i don't know. i've got an 83 with a 6.9 and it is a piece of junk. i will never get a ford diesel again. i just like the cummins, that's all. they have been around a long time and that doesn't look like it is going to end anytime soon.

they owned 14% way back when they introduced the 7.3, and they were buying more through the years. Must have sold it off.
