Hey guys, i have an oppertunity to trade my freshly rebuilt 87 Borg t-5 trans for a, Ford Racing performance parts World Class t-5. With only a few thousand miles on it. Im trading my uncle, so i know the trans is in good shape. The question is is there any benefit for me to swap to this trans?? Thanks Guys

Just because it your uncle doesn't mean it in good shape.
Why would you trade for the same tranny if you just got it rebuilt.
A borg warner t-5 is a tremec t-5. Only difference is your t-5 from 87 may have a 3.35 first gear which they dont come with anymore. all new tremec have a 2.95 first gear.
does your uncle know this, maybe he's trying to pull one over on you.
