Traded in the Mach 1

I would put money on the the dealership damaging the truck and improperly repairing it. Dealers are paid to do PDI and if they missed that from the factory they need to be fired.

exactly. I worked at a Honda dealer for a while and a guy forgot to take the rubber spring spacers out of an S2000 once. They are there so that they can get them on and off trucks...they come in lookin like 4x4's lol. They ended up staying there for like 3-4000 miles.:nono: I think the guy who forgot em got fired for it too.

I spoke with the owner of the dealership yesterday afternoon late and by 6pm this afternoon I now have the exact same truck....same features, options, etc. its even the same color ...just a different vin #. The owner is definately the one who made things right. This afternoon when I went into the dealership the service manager was extremely appologetic and cordial. The general sales manager was there and appologized as well for the inconvienence. I even got a free bed liner out of the deal. We all went and inspected the truck very very carefully. There was a small scuff from transport or whatever but Im really not all that picky. I just ask that the whole truck be painted. The service manager said he spoke with the QA rep in the region and they were looking into what happened on the line to allow this to get to the dealer. Whether that happens or not I dont know but at least things were made right in my mind. Thank you Huntersville Ford

I feel your pain . I had the same dilemma about a year ago . I had my 2001 SVT Cobra , invested a lot of time/money and she was running and lookin good . Then , same deal , bought a new house and needed a truck for all the remodeling we wanted to do . Fought long and hard with the decision to trade the Cobra .

It hurt like hell to see her go , when the salesman got in it after I traded it and started it up to pull it around back I swear my eyes teared up .

I got a nice truck but damn it didnt hold a candle to the stang . 6 mos later I got a 5.0 . Now I am happy not to be stangless and have a bigger garage to work on it ! So not regretting my decision anymore . The 5.0 is much more fun to work on and I realized tinkering and modding is what I really enjoy most and with the 5.0 I can do it a whole lot cheaper and easier .
