Yesterday, April Fools Day, I traded in my V6 for a 2003 Mach 1! I friggin love it, definately beats the six although I still have love for every sixer out there. I've been there. Unless of course, you're asking a "question for a friend" cuz you're too embarrassed or you wanna know if Cobra R heads will fit your 3.8L . LOL

Anyways, best of luck all the 3.8's out there.....I'll be leaving the Mach 1 95% stock due to its value. I gotta say though, its nice topping out 3rd gear at 110mph!!! WOOO whata rush!!

Hold it down V6's!!

I don't understand why people spend the cash on a V6 if they've got the funds to just trade it in later for something more expensive than a GT. Other than that it must be saweet to have a Mach

Congrats on the upgrade..but was it really worth the extra money over the GT just to get basically an air filter? But...whatever your tastes are, each his own and all that. Just don't go on an ego trip like all the other 4.6rs.

Yes, it was worth the upgrade over a GT for an "air fliter". Do your research mah man, I got a little more than that. I'm so friggin stoked to have this car, and I'm still going to keep my v6's spirits alive. I can't wait to see who buys my v6 I traded, the work I put into it should please them quite well.

Well it's good that your happy. Personally, I wouldn't drive a new mach b/c of the speedo setup. If I wanted a throwback instrument cluster I'd get the old school Mach 1. Those are bada$$, no offense 2 u, but I like them alot better than the new ones. But N E ways, enjoy.

they are nice but i would much rather have a 99-01 cobra with the same power set up so i could mod it with out worrying about messing up the value, they are alot more common now so moding it might not be quite as bad.

What color did you get? I saw a Mach 1 at the Ford dealer here that was the same color as BABstang's V6. It was that color with a black stripe down the center. I was like . It was bada$$ man, I'm telling you.

Hell of an upgrade isint it?

I never even drove a GT before getting my Mach 1, the 1st time I started the engine and heard that roar I was in love.

1st time I mashed the gas out of a dead stop and nothing happened by roasted tires was intresting moment too.

Its better to be silent and thought a fool, rather than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I LOVE my air filter, infact...........its sooo good its almost worth 45 more HP over a GT. Its one of those new Type R VTech SpecV model filters

different engine. different block, heads, cam, EVERYTHING. nothing is related to the 96-01 Cobra engines. Most of these cars with a few thousand miles on them are putting down like 280-290rwhp STOCK. These are underrated at 315hp. Not to mention have one HELL of a tq powerband. It's not the feeling of a Vortec like the Cobra. This things pulls TQ like a GT, and hits HP like the Cobra. Ford did an excellent job on this car.
