hey guys....recently i have noticed a noise comin from my tranny. It sounds like when u drag a piece of metal under ur car on the ground only there is nothing dragging. The sound is also rotational and speeds up when its in gear and im on the gas. It seems to be coming from around where the clutch cable goes into the tranny. Anybody have any ideas?

Yep I do. Sounds to me like the problem I had on my 94 GT. The e-brake cable bracket will bend over time(just by using the e-brake) and allow the cable to drop down and touch the driveshaft. When you go over bumps and accelerate it will touch. The cable is within a plastic sheath, but wears off exposing the cable itself. You can crawl under and bend it back, but if you use the e-brake it will bend down again. It could be reinforced by welding, but remove your carpet first. The heat transfer can set your interior on fire.
Hope this helps.

It "sounds" like a tranny problem. But, I don't think it is. You should be able to tell pretty easily by crawling under and checking the e-brake cable. I took my 94 GT to the dealer on the lift and they couldn't find it. I took it home and found it. Idiots.
