AOD Tranny ? Need Help B4 Tomorrow
Okay so I the shop finally got around to rebuiliding my tranny and they finished it up today. I had them put in an Art Carr manual/automatic valve body on the rebuild with the rest of my goodies. They took it out today to test it and they said gears 1-3 are great but they can't get it to shift into overdrive. It does not have an OD delete switch but it is designed so that it will not shift into OD from 3rd at full throttle. You have to back off the throttle and then it will go into OD. However, it won't go into OD at even part throttle. Can anyone explain this or tell me what I should have them look at for the problem. I was thinking maybe the TV cable needs adjusted more but I really don't know what else might cause it to not shift into OD unless the Valve body is bad somehow. I know the shift pattern is 1-2-3, but even when you throw it into OD and go it should shift like normal. I really want my car back after 3 long months and I'm going to talk to them tomorrow morning. Any help from anyone would be great. MYKE86GT I know you have this valve body. Is there anything I should know? Sorry for the long post.
