I don't know what it is, but lately i have felt like my car has been falling apart lol.

The car is a 2003 gt.

well to the problem: It has been happening since i have owned the car, but not as noticeable. Once i put the blower on, i could really hear it. In higher RPM's, it sounds as if the transmission has something loose in it. The best way that i can describe it would be a BB in a tin can rattling. 06roush said he thought it sounded like metal in a blender or garbage disposal, either way sounds really bad. Even under load, it doesn't make the noise if the RPM's are under 3500. But above 3500, it sounds really bad. The only thing i can think is that the blower starts boosting at 3500.

I know that the 3650's are piles of ****, but i am not positive about what the problems are. I know that alot of the bad transmissions were grinding gears and bending shift forks. I haven't had either of these symptoms. I want to take my car to a dealer under the TSB for the ****ty 3650, but i have a blower so i think that they might turn me down right away. What does everyone else think?

Sorry for the long write up, thanks for reading. :nice:

I bet its your synchros. Sounds familiar. I had the same problem. 4th gear was the worst.

hmm. so if it was the synchros, it would only make the noise under load?

I called a reputable transmission shop today and they said that it sounds like a snap bearing. Does anyone know if that could be the case? Thanks.

Yep! Under load is when you can hear it the best. It's a known problem with the 3650. Snap bearing?? LOL! That would be the throw out bearing if thats what their talkin about. If so, you would hear it squeel all the time. Gotta be the synchros in your case. Any extended warranty left on the car by chance??

It should still be covered unless they can prove that one of your mods caused the trans problem. My dealer didn't say anything about my mods. They could of easily said my 4.10's caused my trans problem but they didn't. They know this is a typical problem with the 3650 so you should be fine. Good luck.
