tranny question

I am running about 525 at the wheels and still have a stock T-5. I am half thinking of switching to a aod or something. The only prob is I really like having the 5 speed, but I plan on having at least 700 at the wheels by next year is there a manual tranny that will handle that kinda power? Without spending a TON of money.

Run the t5 till it breaks, then ur forced to make a decision. I think the TKO Tremec is good to 600hp. I dunno of one for 700 though.

i just looked in my cj pony atolog and they have a tranny called the heavy duty 5 speed trans. its ag-force t-5 and its rated to 600 hp and 600 tq, and its 1,949. thats the highest ive seen so far....
