Tranny Squeak

My 2001 Gt is squeaking when I drive. When the clutch is pushed in (or if I apply only the slightest of pressure), the squeaking goes away. I had thought it might be the throwout bearing, but I have heard that it would squeak with the clutch in or out if it was the throwout bearing. A service shop had told me that it might be the transmission bearing?

I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem, and if so, what was causing the squeak. Thanks.

buddy of mine has that problem on his 04 cobra, its the throwout bearing. try putting your foot under the clutch pedal and lift up, if it goes away, then definately its the TOB.

I tried lifting the pedel up, but the noise does not go away. It only goes away if I depress the pedel. I still think it is probably the throwout bearing. Thanks for your help.
