1. How many tooth is the purple speedo gear. I have a purple one in there now and my speedo reads 52-53 at 55mph

2. How long should i break in the tranny before i get on it. I am just itching to get my foot into the floorboard

500 miles or so to break the tranny in. did you replace your clutch while you're at it?

It has a new clutch in it with only like 2000 miles or so on it. It looked perfect when I looked at it. I was prepared to do it I just didn't have to.

What type of tranny do you have? If you have a TREMEC 3550 then you have to use a RED 21 tooth gear. If you have a stock tranny then you need a WHITE 23 tooth gear. Also you didn't say what size tires you have on the back.....If you put on bigger tires....(Taller) then this will affect your spedo as well.

Purple is an AOD 21-tooth speedo gear.

For a 5-spd, you should be using a RED 21-tooth gear if your trannt has a 7-tooth drive gear and i assume you are using 3.73's??
