I have a t-5 with Fox bell housing in mine. The only cutting was for the shifter location which moves closer to the dash. Look into a short throw shifter that is layed back as well. Also had to relocate the center console as well. Another consideration is if you have headers. The bigger bell housing leaves less room. My Hookers needed alot of adjustments to clear including running two pipes under the suspension (cylinders 1 and 2). Normally only one pipe (number 1) goes under with this style header. The transmission crossmember needs to be modifed to fit.

Both the T5 bell and SROD bell fit fine as long as you're not running headers. The clutch lever location is rotated further towards the top so headers have a habit of getting in the way of hooking up the clutch. My Hooker headers are significantly modified to work with the SROD bell.
