Trans and Diff. fluid change

t-5 takes atf if you have a haynes manual (and you should) it will tell you the capacities and the type of fluid. don't forget the friction modifier for the diff

For your T5, get 3 qts. It calls for ATF, but I highly recommend using Royal Purple Synchromax or GM Synchromesh instead. The rear axle calls for 80w90 (75w90 synthetic will work too) & 2 qts will do the trick along with a 4oz bottle of friction modifier.

T5--Buy 3 quarts of ATF. Conventional is all you need. Fill it with the fill plug out and when it stops dripping out close to the end of the 3rd quart, stop, and put the plug in.

Rear End--Buy 3 quarts of 80w90 and 1 4oz. bottle of friction modifier. Put modifier in first, then fill it with ther rear end dope til it leaks out of the fill hole. It won't take all 3 quarts. Don't over fill it, because it will leak out of the axle vent and the axle seals.
