trans/rear diff leaks

My car was parked for about 4 days and is now leaking trans fluid and rear diff fluid. I suspect a seal issue on both ends of the drive shaft, but will have to inspect to make sure.

Are these seals replaceable from the outside?

Rear Axle seals replacement is a job that most home mechanics can do.

Many ppl would also recommend replacing the wheel bearings at the same time. Note, removal of the wheel bearings will require a slide hammer or something to pull the bearings out. Many autoparts stores will rent this tool. Be sure to eat your Wheaties and wear good gloves as sometimes they are a PIA to get out.

The job will require that the rear diff cover, brakes, and axle half shafts be removed. With the exception of the slide hammer, the job can be done with regular hand tools.
