My 97' has 123K and the transmission (automatic) is starting to slip more and more every day. I am thinking on rebuilding the transmission...o is it better to just get a new one?
If I decide to get a new one, what should I look for? What type or specification? (I just want a stock automatic).

Thanks guys!

My tranny's starting to make funny noises too... (that's transmission, not transvestite, in case you were wondering. ) I was even kicking around the idea of switching to a 5-speed, if I have to get a new transmission.. the performance would be a little better, but it would be more of a pain in rush hour bumper-crawl traffic which I have to deal with.

I drive thru about a hour of stop and go rush hour traffic a day and I wouldnt trade my 5-speed for anything. It's so much more fun to drive that a stock automatic.
