What type of tranny fluid should be used in a 1974 C4 Auto Transmission?

TYPE F. However, if it has been rebuilt or remanufactured recently and all of the seals and all of the friction plates were replaced, you can use DEXRON III or MERCON. Do not use MERCON V, Chrysler 7176 ir Chrysler ATF+4. Type F is cheap and easy to find.
