transmission help

my T-5 transmission in my 98 v6 is running rough. I want to add transmission fluid to see if that makes it better but i don't have another car and by the time i get home there is not much light left to work. Is there an easy way to add fluid without putting the car on ramps?

Remove the shifter and pour fluid in through there.

Don't overfill the trans though. Do you have reason to believe the fluid is low aside from "rough" running? Fluid drips under the car?

no main reason is rough shifting and the fluid hasn't been changed since i have owned the car (85,000) now it has 190,000 miles

There is an easy way but you won't be able to tell if you are overfilling or not. Do it from below so you can check your overflow hole or take it to a Econo-Lube during your lunch.
