ok when i was looking at transmission i dont think i did enough research.....

i found that the tko trannys are cheaper then if i went with the gforce trans.
even the t-56 trans is cheaper.

now my questions
on a tko trans what do i need to install it?
is the t56 hard to put in what would i need for that?
is the tko trannys stronger than the gforce?

if u guys could tell me this infor so i can figure out if i would be better to go with the tko or the gforce that would be great.
also i planned on getting a new bellhousing bullet proof and aluminum flywheel and spec 2/3 clutch. so let me know what i would need for the tko installs so i can compare prices and such

thanks.

NO way man, going G-force is definitly cheaper than going TKO or T-56. Im in the middle of a TKO swap myself and it came in just under 2,000 bucks.

for a 94-95 TKO-500 swap you need
TKO-500
TKO bellhousing
Short Clutch Fork
31 spline slip yoke
Drive Shaft Spacer
Offset Trans Mount
3 Quarts of GM SyncroMesh

Not sure what exactly you need for the T-56 but i konw D&D sells a kit for 2,500 bucks that should have everything.

that was already priced into the new motor
that and a bullet proof bellhousing so i think goin this route i will actually save like 400-500 dollars.

what else do u guys think

hey white devil where did u get the drive shaft spacer?

a couple of other questions?

dd has everything i need for the swap?

will a spec clutch and fendeza aluminum fly wheel work?

our cars are 26 spine stock correct?

where does the driveshaft spacer go?

with that im guessing the drive shaft is too short or does it need to be cut?

with a bullet proof housing i need a longer cluthc fork correct?

thanks

Woah man i dont konw what G-froce kit you were loking at. Because the G-force T-5 Helical Cut Syncro Kit is 1095 dollars. Plus the rebuild which still doesnt put it anywhere near 2700 you were looking at the wrong kit thats for damn sure.

Yeah D&D should have everything you need. You dont need a new flywheel for this swap, but im sure a fedenza would work fine i have a spec 1 clutch. Our cars have 10 spline trannies and clutch disks. If you want a 26 spline tranny you will need to make sure that you buy a 26 spline clutch disk. It goes at the end of the transmission where it meets the rear end. The DS is too short because the tranny input shaft is shorter so the new bellhousing is 5/8 in shorter than you stock one. So you need the spacer to make up for that difference. Im not sure which one you need for the scatter proof housing. I just got the aluminum bell because i dont see much hard core action in my futur since my local drag strip closed, and for that i needed a shorter 86-93 clutch fork.

steeda makes a driveshaft spacer that should fit the application that you guys need. They sell 2 different ones. Just look under the drivetrain section and you should find it there.

Wow thats a crazy amount of money. I would just buy the kit 1095 and have it built locally for like 500 bucks.

I have a Firewall adjuster and a steeda clutch quadrant but i dont think they are necessary.

Yeah i went with it cause next summer im going with a 347 a well, so i wanted something real strong. My TkO packge came to just under 2000 so i would do some shopiing around cause Astro seems to have some high ass prices.

hey i just thought of something

im getting a tubular k member and with most of them u can move the engine back 1 in
so that would solve the drivesahft problem and i wouldnt need the spacer correct.

I actully got my stuff from Tommy Vaugne ford in Houston because i was there on vacation. But D&D has similar prices but i just got it there to save on shipping. Tranny was 1590 i believe. If you go TKO-600 thats 100 bucks more and ithink the scatter proof bell is 100 bucks more, then shipping too. But i would think you could get it all for less than 2500 from D&D.

As for the engine set back im not too sure but it seems like it makes sense that it would aleviate the need for the spacer.
