this thread has nothing do to with a transmission. I was more curious as to what everyone feels about the game GTA 4? I havent read too many reviews on it and I hated the commercial preview. Is it a good game? I liked 3 just wondering if it is worth my time because I am waiting for star wars to come out.

My bro's friends came down this weekend and had the game, so i got to play it and watch if for the first 7-10 or so missions. Also just got it today from my free trial of gamefly.
It's not bad. The physics of trash/poles/people/weapons are pretty cool. Just driving kind of sucks, no stability like in the old games. Either you have a really slow car/van/truck that cant turn via understeer or you have a SL class merceds or Challanger that has huge amounts of oversteer and burns out way too much (fun for dicking around, not for missions). The cops are more common, and seem to get on your ass anytime you hit someone with a bat (especially at night, try ally ways), bu they are easier to evade - just need to escape the search area/circle on the map for awhile. Even with 3 stars (larger search area with more stars). Characters are annoying, you cousin who you come to America to live with ans is in virtually all the initial missions (15+ im guessing) is annoying and useless as F. You find yourself shooting him in the head just for fun in a lot of missions.
Overall, good. But not $50+ good. Maybe if you have a lot of free time which i don't.

3 was good and so was vice city,san andreas I hated,4 I havent played...been too busy playin Lego Indiana Jones this week.....Simple but fun as hell...
and been playin Race Driver Grid also,its a good racing game but is a lil buggy right now waiting on a patch to solve my issues with it...I play PC games not console...last console I owned was the original Playstation,but my kids own all of them.

I am thinking about just waiting for the new star wars game to come out. I have a credit at game stop for games I traded in. Funny enough I got like $15 for the jurassic park game for the orig xbox. others were like 11 cents so I just kept them and sold them as a bundle on ebay. got way more that way.
