So I am getting a 4 cylinder t-5 for the time being cause mine is so crappy. So is there anything else that will need to be changed other than a different pilot bearing? And as far as the pilot bearing anyone have a part number from somewhere, or know how expensive it is? Any other suggestions as far as "freshening up" before install? Prolly only be in a couple months until I can scrounge enough money up to buy the whole t56 conversion like I want.

the pilot bearing is all you need i believe..........you can find them on e bay......i know some people in here have the part number i'm sure they'll chime in........

i'd think getting a pilot bearing from a similar year mustang with the 4 cyl and t-5 would work.....

where is the pilot bearing located? inside the bell housing with the clutch? or is it on the tranny itself? Come on guys someone help me I'm getting a few parts tomorrow anyways so I figure Ill get this while I'm there.

ok so I found that it is part number BCA 202S, does anybody know or can find out what it is comparible to so I can get it at my autoparts store? I have read posts and saw something about a different input shaft, but I'm going to wait to see what length comes in it to whether or not I would have to put a different one in. Would it hurt to have the different length shaft or should I change that too if it is not the same as the stock tranny?

If it helps here are the dimensions for the bca bearing: ball bearing outer race radius .024 , Bore 0.5906, Outer diameter 1.378, width 0.4331, and Inner race radius 0.024

sounds like the correct bearing. i'm sure your auto parts store can cross reference that number and find it.

the 4 cyl input shaft is a tad longer, i think it works fine though.....not long enough to cause any problems....maybe someone else has more info on it.....
