Transmission swap question

Does anyone have any experience with an auto to 5 speed swap? It seems like it would be a rather involved (difficult) procedure. I would be having a shop do it if I decided to, but I wondered if anyone who has had this done experienced any problems that a factory produced 5 speed would not, such as fitment, etc. Specifically, my trans options look like a 4r70w to tko-5 or 600. Any shop recommendations? Thanks.

One of the guys on olur local board did one. I'll point him to this thread and maybe he can give you some pointers. His was on a 95 5.0 though but I'm betting it wouldn't be too much different.

dude your better of building the auto up. As far as stall convertor, J-mod and gears out back
