Transmission Swap

I was bored today and was thinking it would be neat to have a 6 speed transmission, how hard would it be, or would it even be possible to get an 03 cobra's transmission and put it into a 1996 GT? Would it even be possible? Any help would be appreciated.

i know it i spossible to have a six speed...but i am not sure however what all would be involved. the exact same one out of an 03 cobra wouldnt fit because of the way the speedo is driven..urs is driven with a gear at the tranny and the new ones have a magnetic pickup (i dont know if there is a way around this or not). they do make kits that come with the tranny and everything involved in order to get one put in ur car.
