Transmission, U Joint, or just the way it is?

Ive got a 93 5.0 automatic. When I start it up for the day and get going, for the first mile or two if I'm rolling through my neighborhood at like 20 mph when I let my foot off the gas pedal the whole car lurches a couple times and then smooths out. I figure it could be a worn U Joint (its original) or the tranny is starting to crap on me. Any ideas or suggestions?

If it was a u-joint it would do it all the time.


It's either the trans lurching because it's not warmed up yet or something with the engine.

Hows the trans fluid look??
