From what I've read, we are all having the same problem with the eco boost 10 speed. I have had 4 other mustangs and have loved them all, until now. I have a 2018 convertible, I've never been more disappointed in a car than I am this one. I really hope Ford gets their act together and finds a fix for this.

If it's the same transmission as the GT then it's a twin disk with a long clutch throw and notchy short shift throw.

It requires a little finesse. Down shifts are meant to be rev-matched and the clutch should spend very little time "feathered".

Be sure to read through the entire manual about operation.

Really? Isn't it the same MT-82 used in the GTs?

Actually, it's not. From 11-17 the MT-82's had a single overdrive and fifth gear was direct or 1:1. In 2018 they changed the design internally, now there is a double overdrive and fourth gear is now 1:1 with fifth and sixth being overdrive gears. Also they changed the internal shift forks to a cast aluminum design that are prone to breakage.
