Transmissions Question

sooner or later my transmission will stop working and before it does i was just wondering if its possible, when i replace the transmission, to get a better one. ex: faster, 5-speed, etc. automatic by the way.

Thats an idea. How old is your tranny. As long as you service it the tranny should last for many years.

well i got the car this year , used, and it has about 91000 miles on it. it drives good but when the service light goes on, the car doesnt accelerate while its on gear one. like a delay or someting. when the light goes off, the car will ride fine. but i was thinking of just changing the whole tranny for a new one but better. mayber it'll bet faster, it'll burnout easier, if i can put a 5-speed tranny that'll do it. but is it possible?

if you are talking about doing an automatic to 5-speed swap...check out these sites...its something i really really really want to do, maybe this summer if im lucky
